These upbeat melodies and accessible lyrics were written to help budding language learners discover how to share their feelings, hopes, and dreams. Free to Be Me was written and composed by the Sunflowers, a musical duo formed by singer-songwriters Aaron and Julie Harris. As experienced musicians and educators, the American-French duo has been active in schools throughout the South of France, using music and activities to introduce children to the English language.
Each hardcover picture book features song lyrics paired with playful illustrations by Maud Legrand and comes with a CD and digital album with 12 original songs. At the end of the book, an activity guide proposes crafts and exercises that can be used at home or in the classroom to help children engage with the material.
